Weekend Recap

Happy Monday. Sorry for taking a mini-blogging break last week...It was needed. Not that I'm a super awesome blogger, or anything like that, but I was on break from school--and just added this to the break.

My weekend started Friday afternoon when I went with my friend JK, to the ice cream social and book fair at his elementary school. I hadn't felt the best on Friday day, so I skipped the ice cream (and because I'm a die hard Red Mango fan).

One of my most favorite work friends(JM) was in town this weekend (to celebrate her bf's 26th birthday...and to see me (okay not really)). Another friend just moved back home after living in Kansas for the past 7 or so years...and she came along too :) We went out to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants (sometimes I think I could live on margaritas, chips, and queso).

Saturday Morning Came Way Too Early... I started my day off with a 5 mile run around a lake that's pretty close to my house. It was such a pretty morning that I was finally able to break out my running shorts! It was also fun seeing how busy the trail was the entire time I ran (which really made the time go fast).

Saturday afternoon I spent studying, and hanging out with SS. I introduced him to a really yummy Greek restaurant (although I wasn't as impressed with the food as I normally am), and we hung out for awhile before I went to work for the night.

I'm obsessed with Ann Taylor's new shipment :) I paired this top with some Levi's boyfriend fit jeans cuffed at the bottom and my sperrys. I put the necklace on when I got to work and  thought it gave the outfit the perfect pop of color!

Sunday Morning, I went on a quick neighborhood run.
I don't know if it was the weather, or my sinuses, or something, but I was miserable the entire time and had such a hard time doing my go-to route.

I spent Sunday Afternoon doing 3 things:
1) Retail Therapy
2) Studying
3) Wondering how I could prolong my spring break.

oh...and listening to this song over and over:

Sorry for the super long post :) Hope you all have the most wonderful week!
Thanks for reading...oxo

  1. I love everything about this post! Yes, I could live off mexi too!! :) Love it! Also, I LOVE all my new LOFT stuff, and the Civil Wars, that amazing shot of the lake, and fun runs! I also feel your pain on the running..I hate those struggle days! But, it does make the good days all the more sweet:)I know weeks coming back from breaks are tough, praying for you! <3

  2. I could totally live off of margis, chips, and queso! I love your Ann Taylor top--so cute! The picture of the lake is gorgeous! I wish that was where I ran!

  3. Dang girl! 5 miles?!? I'm pretty sure you'd have to dangle that gorgeous tunic in front of me to get past mile 2. Anyway, it seems like you had a wonderful Spring break, and with St. Patty's this weekend you've got the perfect capstone to finish it off!

  4. I love that picture of you and JM--red is your color!!
