Join me on my adventures and misadventures during my last year of law school, my ultimate (and unreachable) goal of attaining my own reality show--my slightly more realistic goal of publishing a book, and of course my (anything but dull) daily life!
To me...there is nothing hotter than a man rocking a tye-dye t-shirt with a particularly masculine graphic... for example: A lone wolf howling at the moon.
Okay, let's get serious...I might be able to find something slightly hotter than said description ;)
KW sent this my way today...and I haven't stopped laughing.
Hopefully each and every one of you has time to celebrate today and go frolic in the sunshine (or on my city's case the rain). I'm in class all day, so to celebrate the first day of Spring, I'm buying flowers on my way home later tonight.
How are you celebrating?
I hope this song puts a "Spring" in your step today:
Some of my real life friends (specifically JW who sat next to me for about 90% of our 1L classes) know that I get a morbid amusement from the "Missed Connections" and the "Best Of..." on Craigslist. I accidentally clicked on "Casual Encounters" once, and it was by far one of the most traumatic 20 seconds of my life.
To me there is something tragic, but sweet about this whole phenomena:
"I saw you last week in the cereal aisle at hy-vee... you were wearing jeans. I think our eyes locked at some point. Tell me what color of shirt I had on, and I'll know it's you."
or something along the lines of:
"I noticed you at wal-mart last week. You were smokin' hot...I'm the guy with the wedding ring on, tell me what you thought of me."
I mean, aside from all the other great time wasting websites out there, this has to be one of my top twenty. That is until the other day, when someone wrote a missed connection to me. Not. Even. Kidding.
Wuff.
It gave a specific time, a specific place, the specific make and model of my car, and the car advice (no really) I gave this guy....the final nail in the coffin--it described me as abnormally enthusiastic.
Awesome.
Clearly I'm not going to write back. But seriously. I think this just put the "Missed Connections" in my least favorite part of the internet. Sigh.
"Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is EVERYTHING it is cracked up to be. That is why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, and risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk anything, you risk even more." -Erica Jong
Happy Monday. Sorry for taking a mini-blogging break last week...It was needed. Not that I'm a super awesome blogger, or anything like that, but I was on break from school--and just added this to the break.
My weekend started Friday afternoon when I went with my friend JK, to the ice cream social and book fair at his elementary school. I hadn't felt the best on Friday day, so I skipped the ice cream (and because I'm a die hard Red Mango fan).
One of my most favorite work friends(JM) was in town this weekend (to celebrate her bf's 26th birthday...and to see me (okay not really)). Another friend just moved back home after living in Kansas for the past 7 or so years...and she came along too :) We went out to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants (sometimes I think I could live on margaritas, chips, and queso).

Saturday Morning Came Way Too Early... I started my day off with a 5 mile run around a lake that's pretty close to my house. It was such a pretty morning that I was finally able to break out my running shorts! It was also fun seeing how busy the trail was the entire time I ran (which really made the time go fast).
Saturday afternoon I spent studying, and hanging out with SS. I introduced him to a really yummy Greek restaurant (although I wasn't as impressed with the food as I normally am), and we hung out for awhile before I went to work for the night.
I'm obsessed with Ann Taylor's new shipment :) I paired this top with some Levi's boyfriend fit jeans cuffed at the bottom and my sperrys. I put the necklace on when I got to work and thought it gave the outfit the perfect pop of color!
Sunday Morning, I went on a quick neighborhood run.
I don't know if it was the weather, or my sinuses, or something, but I was miserable the entire time and had such a hard time doing my go-to route.
I spent Sunday Afternoon doing 3 things:
1) Retail Therapy
2) Studying
3) Wondering how I could prolong my spring break.
oh...and listening to this song over and over:
Sorry for the super long post :) Hope you all have the most wonderful week!
